All coastal towns offer equipped bathing establishments, but here are some particular beaches near Suvereto that should not be missed. The beach that stretches between Piombino and Torre Mozza offers shallow water, crystal-clear water, light-coloured sand and is only recommended when the Sirocco blows, while it is protected from northern winds: the reference point is the Sterpaia Coastal Park, with several equipped spots such as the Nano Verde and the Bagnoskiuma. The beach can be reached from Piombino along the coastal road to Torre Mozza
Baratti is an icon of the area: scenic thanks to the domestic pines sculpted by the wind and the very welcoming backdune environment protected from southern winds such as the sirocco. A little further north of the Gulf of Baratti, along the Via della Principessa that connects Piombino to San Vincenzo, more than five kilometres of golden beach belonging to the Rimigliano Coastal Park await you, where the Mediterranean vegetation shows itself in all its beauty with a variety of species, shapes and colours
The Piombino promontory offers enchanting corners with rocks and blue sea
The Piombino Promontory offers enchanting corners with rocks and blue sea: for those who feel like walking (among Etruscan tombs…) for about twenty minutes, we recommend Buca delle Fate, which can be reached from Colle del Reciso, near Populonia, where you can leave your car; or on foot from Baratti along path 302 (Via dei Cavalleggeri).
A little further away, but still conveniently accessible for a day trip, is the beach of Cala Violina.
